Lowman Law Firm is proud to sponsor the 4th Annual Pinwheel Run on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Hosted by Bikers C.A.R.E., this event includes an escorted ride for bikers starting from downtown Inverness and ending at Crystal Harley Davidson in Homosassa. The ride, escorted by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department, is dedicated to bringing awareness of child abuse to the public and aiding in the recovery of abused kids throughout the United States.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the pinwheel is the national symbol representing every child's right to a great childhood. At Lowman Law Firm, we’re committed to ensuring that for every child.

Child Abuse in the United States

Child abuse comes in many forms, and includes physical, emotional, sexual, and psychological abuse. The signs of child abuse include unexplained bruises, overly aggressive behavior, lack of necessities, and drastic changes in behavioral and eating habits. Unfortunately, child abuse remains common across the globe and within the United States.

In 2019, there were more than 655,000 reported cases of child abuse. Lowman Law Firm, along with our partners, wants to put an end to it. The Pinwheel Run provides visibility to the problem, and we’re proud to be part of the run.

What You Need to Know About the 4th Annual Pinwheel Run

The event is hosted by Bikers C.A.R.E., a nonprofit motorcycle organization based in Florida. They're committed to ending child abuse and aiding in the recovery of abused children throughout the entire U.S.

They focus on educating their local communities, including parents and caretakers, providing guidance for children in recovery by partnering with support agencies, and helping abused children feel a sense of security with their physical and emotional presence.

The event starts at the Citrus County Sheriff's office in downtown Inverness at 10:00 am. The Sheriff's Department will escort riders along a scenic route through the backroads of Citrus County, ending at Crystal Harley Davidson around 12:30 p.m. There, the band "Jezabelle" will rock the house at the after-ride party!
