A Hernando County resident was killed when his Toyota struck a concrete barrier. The driver was northbound on the Suncoast Parkway when he lost control of his vehicle and struck not only the barrier wall but also a metal guardrail. He was pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa and a toxicology report is pending. Unfortunately, the driver was not wearing his seatbelt.
