A Hernando County resident was killed when his Toyota struck a concrete barrier. The driver was northbound on the Suncoast Parkway when he lost control of his vehicle and struck not only the barrier wall but also a metal guardrail. He was pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa and a toxicology report is pending. Unfortunately, the driver was not wearing his seatbelt. Auto accidents and motorcycle crashes can be caused by many different potential factors. Roadway changes, mechanical vehicle defects, and driver’s negligence are very common but do not exhaust the list of potential causes. Many times it takes a qualified and experienced accident investigator to obtain the necessary evidence and formulate an expert opinion as to the cause of the crash.
