Two Recent Automobile Accidents: Guard Rail Goes Through Vehicle And 15 Year-old Crashes Into A Deputy’s Vehicle

Two recent automobile accidents caught the attention of the legal team at Lowman Law Firm. The first was a car wreck involving a woman who somehow lost control of her Lexus on I-275, her car careening into a guard rail resulting in the railing penetrating the automobile’s engine through the center and out of the trunk.

The woman clipped a taxi cab and then collided with the safety railing. She was admitted to the hospital as a trauma alert victim and her condition is still unknown. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the car accident. Fortunately there was nobody else in the car at the time of the wreck and the driver of the taxi was not injured.

Minor Involved In Collision With Police

In a second, somewhat unusual story, police say a 15 year-old without a driver’s license collided with a deputy’s cruiser on the morning of Monday, November 1 and then fled the scene. According to My Fox Tampa Bay, “Around 5:23 a.m. the teen, who police also say had a .02 blood-alcohol level, turned into oncoming traffic at Keen and Union Street and hit the cruiser of 26-year-old deputy Isaiah Naylor.” Naylor was off duty at the time of the car wreck.

The teenager reportedly t-boned the deputy’s vehicle and immediately fled the scene. After searching for the offending driver’s 2010 Mitsubishi, police located it in a nearby Walgreen’s parking lot. The minor fled that scene as well, but was soon after tracked down with the help of the K-9 unit. She was arrested for hit and run without injury, violation of right of way and driving without a valid driver’s license.
