John McBride-1As Lowman Law Firm continues to grow, so does our family! We’re proud to welcome attorney John D. McBride to our team.

John is a Bodily Injury Supervising Attorney and handles cases with a focus on automotive collision liability (he previously worked for Farmers Insurance Group). He’s both a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney in the State of Florida and an AV Preeminent rated attorney. So, now let's get to know John a little bit better!

Helping Communities, From New York to New Orleans

John was born and raised in Orange County, New York, where he attended both Manhattan College (receiving his undergraduate degree) and the University of New Haven (receiving his Bachelor's of Science in Fire Protection Engineering). Following that, he worked for a Fire Protection Engineering and Consulting Firm in New York for several years, during which time he was responsible for managing and overseeing part of the redevelopment and redesign of the World Trade Center after September 11th.

John was also heavily involved in community activities during his time in the Empire State. He was a firefighter in New York for nearly 15 years and worked as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician for nearly a decade, during which time he was selected to be part of the disaster relief team evacuating and serving the city of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. He also belonged to several volunteer ambulance organizations as well as the county's Hazardous Materials Response Team. He served in positions of leadership of many capacities with each emergency service entity for which I have been involved or for whom I have worked.

Practicing Law and Finding New Roots in Florida

Next for John, it was onto the Sunshine State. John moved to Florida and attended Stetson University College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate. He began practicing law in 2012 working for a small firm doing Plaintiffs' personal injury work as well as insurance subrogation work.

In late 2012, John began working for the Pinellas County State Attorney's Office, where he learned and honed his courtroom and trial skills, trying more than 40 cases to verdict – ranging from local ordinance violations to first degree and capital felonies. While there, John was selected to be the office’s sole arson prosecutor, a member of the office's elite Vehicular Homicide / DUI Manslaughter Squad, and also received special recognition for his successful prosecution of impaired drivers.

Family Man – and Eagle Scout!

John and his wife have known each other for nearly 20 years, meeting one another when they both worked for a commercial ambulance service in New York. They have been married for eight years and have a two-year-old son and two dogs. When not working, they enjoy relaxing at the beach, watching movies, and traveling. One more thing about John? “In 2000, I also attained the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts,” he says proudly.

Once again, Lowman Law Firm is proud to welcome John to our team! If you need a personal injury lawyer, don’t hesitate to contact us – and who knows, maybe John will be going to work for you and your family!
