Inverness Woman Killed In ATV Accident

An Inverness woman was killed when her ATV flipped and crashed in Citrus County recently.  The injury accident is still under investigation by law enforcement to determine the cause of the ATV accident.  The woman was a passenger when the ATV flipped and crashed when the driver lost control and hit a fence.  The driver also suffered personal injury in the crash.  ATV, Four-Wheeler, and other off road recreational vehicle crashes are the cause of personal injury and wrongful death throughout our community of Brooksville, Spring Hill, Inverness, Crystal River, New Port Richey, and Dade City far too often.  Unfortunately the ATV crashes are often unreported and not investigated unless very serous injury or death occurs.  Florida law places age requirements and driving guidelines on ATV drivers and owners.  Because ATV crashes often occur on private property, the safety guidelines are not always met.  Safety equipment, especially helmets, can be the difference between life and death in the crash.
